Our latest broker spotlight features Kevin Rahmanim, an associate at Interra Realty. Join us as we delve into Kevin’s journey, discovering what motivated him to pursue a career in real estate and uncovering the path that led him to Interra.
How did you find your way to the commercial real estate industry?
I started my career in the real estate industry as a top leasing consultant at one of Chicagoland’s leading property management companies where I became proficient in operating multifamily investment properties. I spent over half a decade becoming an expert in leasing all types of apartments, from vintage studios to new construction 5-bedroom apartments, and I learned the most effective ways to achieve market rents. Over the years, I grew increasingly curious about multifamily and mixed-use properties from an investor lens. I am excited to help investors buy and sell multifamily and mixed-use properties throughout Chicagoland. I focus on understanding and meeting client needs by confronting obstacles and creating new opportunities. I am fascinated by the competitive Chicagoland multifamily investment market and how it offers investors cash flow, tax breaks, equity building, and a hedge against inflation while providing residents safe, comfortable, and affordable housing.
What brought you to Interra Realty and when did you join?
My previous experience in multifamily leasing and management grew my passion for multifamily investment sales in Chicago. Of the handful of brokerages that specialize in Chicagoland multifamily investment sales, I quickly discovered Interra Realty’s high standards and that every broker is an expert and truly puts the client first. I knew our goals aligned and that Interra Realty was the place to be. In July 2022, I was given the opportunity to work directly under Senior Managing Partner, Brad Feldman. With over 15 years of experience, Brad has successfully walked his clients through 275+ transactions and sold over $600MM+ in real estate. In my year working with Brad, I built the foundation for my career on market analysis, asset valuation, and business development.
What is a goal you have set for yourself both professionally and personally?
Professionally, my goal is to create relationships with clients where I can guide them through a continuously evolving market and help them make decisions that align with their investment goals.
Personally, my goal is to travel the world with my wife. Travel is important because it allows us to step outside our comfort zones, embrace new adventures, and taste new foods!
What’s the most important life lesson you’ve learned so far?
“We have two lives, the second begins when we realize we only have one.” – Confucius
I am currently living my second life! I wake up every morning excited about the opportunities I can create for myself and for my clients.
