Financial Analyst

Company Overview:

Position Summary:

The Operations & Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting our brokerage team by providing in-depth financial analysis, market research, and process optimization. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset to enhance the team’s efficiency and success. The program is a three year, in depth education to the investment real estate industry. The program is designed for individuals who aspire to pursue an entrepreneurial path and a career in Investment Real Estate but wish to be paid to learn. Note: This position is in office only; remote candidates will not be considered.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Market Analysis: Monitoring sales and financing activities within target markets, compiling trend reports to inform and educate prospects and clients.
  • Financial Underwriting: Conducting property valuations and preparing Offering Memorandums, utilizing tools such as Excel and Buildout software.
  • Database Management: Ensuring the accuracy of our existing database, expanding into strategic markets, and organizing weekly call lists for team members.
  • Process Management: Overseeing due diligence processes, tracking key dates from contract to closing, and streamlining client deliveries.
  • Team Support: Assisting with property tours for clients, prospective buyers, appraisers, lenders and inspectors.
  • Marketing Liaison: Collaborating with the marketing team to translate data into impactful marketing materials.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identifying opportunities to optimize team processes and exploring AI applications to enhance productivity.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work behind the scenes to drive team success
  • Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) is a plus

  • Enjoys contributing to a collaborative office environment

In addition, an Illinois Real Estate Sales License will be required, which may be obtained following job acceptance.

Senior Broker

The Senior Broker will be responsible for developing a multifamily and other investment brokerage business in the Chicago and near-suburban markets, and supervising associates  and other brokers. The Senior Broker will be expected to generate and secure 2-4 listings per month, increase the current client pipeline for multifamily and other investment properties and work in a team both selling Senior Broker’s listings and listings of other brokers in the office. Desired applicants will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree at minimum
  • An Illinois Real Estate Sales License
  • At least 3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate with a proven track record in brokerage
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and be an aggressive self-starter
  • Strong people skills
  • Enthusiasm for the sales process
  • Knowledge of financial analysis
  • Robust organizational skills

Compensation is commission based, where potential earnings are limitless. A successful broker at Interra can earn in excess of $500,000 annually. Brokers at Interra enjoy commission potential, which exceeds other similar brokerage operations due to Interra’s above standard commission split.
